Mario Hill Jr., Drill Academy
Hill was one of the best lead guards in the field and made his mark as both a scorer and a playmaker. He averaged over 19 points per game on the weekend, shooting the ball well from three and in the midrange with the ability to get to his spots and create space off the dribble. He also excelled in ball screens and showed that he can make reads and get the ball where it needs to go.
Ethan Buell, 865 Elite
The Kentucky native has the potential to be a good long term prospect and showed really good production as a 2027 playing up in the 16U division. He's got loads of toughness on both ends of the floor and didn't mind playing physically and mixing it up in the paint and on the glass. He also proved that he can be a three level scorer, hitting shots from three and being able to use the dribble to get to the rim and finish at a high rate.
Esmer Madesko, North Atlanta Orangemen
Madesko led the 17U division in scoring at over 28 points per game, going over the 20-point mark three times and the 30-point mark twice. While he shot the ball well from three, connecting on close to three triples per game, he got most of his work done off the bounce getting into the paint and to the rim, where he consistently scored with a number of crafty finishes. College programs looking for a scorer to add to their 2024 class should give him a look.
Jamarcus Harrison, SW Stamp Squad
Harrison was one of the better floor generals in the field this weekend and showed he can impact a game in a number of different ways. He's a true two-way player that can help his team win with both his offense and his defense. He's highly athletic, has solid size in the backcourt, has the ability to create his own offense, and can really distribute the ball and get his teammates involved. He's a guy to watch in Hall County in the coming years.
Jordan Smith, Kountry Wayne Elite
Smith has the combination of size and skill level that should make him a prospect for college coaches to know this spring and summer. He's a strong 6-foot-8 post that can control the paint on both ends of the floor. He has a high skill level and great footwork on the block and can make a number of moves to get finishes around the rim. He's also a good passer and consistently found teammates for scoring opportunities. Size is always at a premium, so he should be a name to know.
Zion Thomas, SSA Nightmare
Thomas will be a name to keep track of down in southeast Georgia in the coming years. He has very good size and athleticism for a young player and showed that he can leave his fingerprints on a game with his physical tools. He made a number of eye-popping plays that you don't often see in the 15U division. On top of those highlight reel plays, he consistently finished off plays around the rim, hit the glass hard, and protected the rim. He's a name to stash away for the future.
Seyi Daramola, Britt Basketball Academy
If you just looked at Daramola's scoring numbers, you wouldn't get the full story on his game and why he was a big standout this weekend. Aside from being able to finish off plays at a high level, he was one of the most active and productive front court players in the field. He was dominant on the glass on both ends of the floor and his motor consistently ran very high. He also used his length and athleticism to be a very good rim protector on the defensive side. He made a ton of winning plays this weekend.
