Ty Glasper, STARS Basketball Club UA
Glasper îs a tough, steady floor general who showed that he can take over a game with his scoring and playmaking abilities. He operates well in ball screen situations and uses his physicality off the bounce to get to his spots in the midrange or get all the way to the rim where he scores at a high level or can get to the free throw line. He also showed that he can stretch his range and be a consistent threat from three.
JJ Winston, Sewer South
Winston was easily one of the best athletes in the field this weekend and showed his electrifying abilities on multiples occasions. He can put on a show in transition with his ability to get off the floor. However, he also showed that he can be effective in the half court getting to the rim and also had a game showing off his shooting from three, connecting on three triples in a win over STARS Basketball Club on Saturday.
Colben Landrew, Game Elite 3SSB
Landrew was one of the better surprises of the weekend with Game Elite's 16U squad. He's tough and physical at 6-foot-6 playing in the backcourt and he used his strength and size to his advantage on multiple occasions getting to the rim and finishing through contact. He also was able to knock down a couple shots from the perimeter showing a well rounded scoring ability. With his physical tools, he will be a name to keep track of this spring.
Jaylen Claggett, Anthony Morrow Elite
Claggett earned a ton of respect from opposing teams for his ability to shoot the three ball. He led a big comeback against AE5 on Saturday, finishing with 20 points and connecting on six threes in one of the best shooting displays of the weekend. He eventually drew a full-court denial because of his abilities to knock down shots. He also has good abilities off the dribble and can make the right reads and get the ball where it needs to go.
Blaze Johnson, Atlanta Celtics
Johnson will be a guy to look out for in Georgia's 2028 class. He's dynamic off the dribble with a ton of moves in his arsenal and a number of ways to beat defenders, get to his spots, and convert. He also showed a very effective lefty shooting stroke and was very good knocking down shots from three and did most of that shooting work off the dribble. He will be a name to stash away for the coming years in the Peach.
Jaden Perkins, MDA Elite
Perkins has been a top performer on our stage a number of times and is a guy that can just flat out fill up a score sheet. He ended the weekend leading the entire field in scoring at 31 points per game, including games of 27 and 44 points on Saturday. While he's a tough, strong, physical attacker, this weekend he showed a different side of his offensive game, hitting 20 threes in three games, including 12 in his 44-point performance. He's a complete bucket getter.
Asa Montgomery, AOT
Montgomery was the go-to guy for AOT's 2027 squad this weekend and he showed that he can consistently knock down shots and is not scared of the big moments. He's got solid size on the wing with versatility and the ability to defend multiple spots. He was one of the better three-point shooters in the field and that combination of size and shooting ability should bode well from him as he develops.
Lathan Coleman, Elite 8 Select Broward
Coleman helped lead his Elite 8 Select team to a very good weekend, going 3-0. He has solid size at 6-foot-6 and showed that he can play both as a forward and as a wing. He was very effective finishing off plays on the interior, but also showed that ability to be a threat off the catch from three, consistently knocking down shots from the perimeter as well. He averaged 17 points per game on the weekend and looked very impressive on both ends of the floor.
