LakePoint Sports Hosts A New Summer 5K and Free Community Concert, June 24
The Jog & Jam will take runners through the LakePoint Sports South Campus and will conclude with a concert on the Multi-purpose Fields Complex
Atlanta, Ga., June 21, 2022- LakePoint Sports, the premier travel and youth sports destination, is hosting a brand-new race on its campus, the Jog & Jam, presented by Bartow Fence. The race takes place on Friday, June 24, starting at 7:00 pm, with the free community concert immediately following.
The fun begins on the course that will take runners around the south part of the LakePoint campus, by the Champions Center, through the Baseball Village, and ending on Field 1 of the Multi-purpose Fields Complex.
“We are excited to be the presenting sponsor for the Jog and Jam,” stated Jay Parrozzo, owner of Bartow Fence. “We love to be involved in events in our community. The 5K and free community concert allow us to increase brand awareness which meets our business objective.”
Greeting racers at the finish line will be live music from The Geeks. As Atlanta’s party rock heroes, The Geeks, will be performing numerous cover songs from popular hits over the last few decades delivering an action-packed experience for all.
“We are thrilled to be performing for the first time at LakePoint Sports,” said Bo Belaski, of The Geeks. “Our shows are a great time and full of fun throwback songs that everyone will enjoy.”
This event will be part of the sold-out KT Tape Summer Show Stoppers weekend. KT Tape will offer free taping for athletes who might need pain relief and flexible support to keep their muscles active and recovering during the race.
