Rapsodo Technology to Debut at LakePoint Sports

Baseball performance innovator bringing tools and tech to premier youth sports destination

ATLANTA (May 26, 2021) – The country’s top high school baseball players will notice something new when they play at the LakePoint Sports Baseball Village this summer, located in greater Atlanta, Georgia. Rapsodo, a leader in sports analytics, has partnered with LakePoint to give aspiring youth athletes the chance to try new tools that can help them measure their personal development. Rapsodo will customize a batting cage with its state-of-the-art HITTING 2.0 hardware, used by all 30 MLB teams, and debut Rapsodo Game Mode as part of the agreement.

Paired with Rapsodo’s industry leading HITTING 2.0, Game Mode allows players to compete in hitting competitions and see pro-level data, including 3D ball flight and hit outcomes, making cage sessions more engaging and impactful. At LakePoint, players are welcome to sign up to compete in a Game Mode Total Distance Hit Competition. The winner of each weekend’s competition will receive a Rawlings 2021 Quatro bat.

“At Rapsodo, we’re committed to helping players and coaches reach their full potential through our technology,” said Art Chou, General Manager of Rapsodo North America. “We take a lot of pride in knowing the technology and data we provide can help baseball players at LakePoint get the most out of their physical abilities as they continue to develop.”

“We’re fortunate to have highly competitive, elite-level athletes on campus year-round,” said Greg Barckhoff, executive vice president of sales and marketing at LakePoint. “We want them to know that when they play here, they will find the latest technology and opportunities to become the best player possible.”

The customized Rapsodo batting cage is available to players beginning May 28. The partnership also includes messaging throughout the year on eight LakePoint Baseball Village digital scoreboards, targeted electronic communications, and recognition on the official LakePoint Sports website.
