Description
Join us for a fun, highly-active, informational / instructional camp on all things running. Sessions during each day of the three-day camp include teaching the fundamentals of both cross-country and track & field, and of course, a workout. Additionally, beginner level instruction will be given on the technical aspects of track and field events as well as key training attributes that all aspiring young runners need to know. Be ready to run!
The camp will be led by Wire2Wire Running’s Coach David Matherne and Coach Matt Terry. Collectively with over 60 years of cross-country and track and field coaching experience between them, including at the NCAA Division I level as well as through USA Track & Field. Guest instructors and speakers will also be present over the three days.
- What’s Needed: Bring your running shoes & water bottle. Campers will also want to bring a towel (it is June after all!) and potentially a change of clothes. Backpacks are welcome.
- Location: Multi-purpose fields on the LakePoint Sports Campus 124 LakePoint Parkway, Emerson GA 30121
