ATLANTA (September 2, 2021) – LakePoint Sports, the nation’s premier youth sports destination located in the Metro Atlanta area, has announced the recipients of the LakePoint Sports C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. Scholarship, proudly supported by Coca-Cola Bottling Company United and Imperial Dade. This year, the organization will award two $1,000 scholarships to Centre College freshman Peter Nadreau (baseball) from Palmetto, Ga., and Marietta, Ga., native Elizabeth Nason (volleyball), a freshman at the University of North Georgia. Nadreau and Nason both competed on the LakePoint campus during their youth sports careers.

“At LakePoint Sports, we understand how sports can create transformational life skills, but a great education can further amplify a successful future off-the-field,” said LakePoint Sports director of marketing David Pate. “As an organization, our mission, vision, purpose, and values – our MVPv – represent our north star. The C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. Scholarship shows our commitment to our MVPv and the athletes who compete on campus. We, along with our partners at Coca-Cola Bottling Company United and Imperial Dade, are proud to invest in the education of our youth athletes.”

All the scholarship recipients wrote a 300-word essay describing one of LakePoint’s C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. values and how they displayed it during their respective athletic careers. They also had to provide a letter of recommendation, academic credentials, extracurricular activities, and proof they played on the LakePoint Campus. These incredible recipients were selected out of over 60 applicants.

“At Coca-Cola United, educating the next generation of great leaders is an important objective,” said Darren Hodges, division director at Coca-Cola Bottling Company United. “We are proud to support our partners at LakePoint Sports on their C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. Scholarship.”

“We are thrilled to support the LakePoint Sports C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. Scholarship and the education for the leaders of tomorrow,” said Imperial Dade sales manager Artis Scott.

LakePoint Sports will award the scholarships annually to student-athletes who embody its C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. values: Collaboration, Humility, Action-oriented, Mindfulness, Positivity, Integrity, Ownership mentality, Nice, and Servanthood.
